What is the Metaverse?

In the metaverse, people, companies, and technological infrastructures can all coexist and communicate digitally. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are part of this category along with online social and gaming platforms like Roblox (more on those later).

Movies like Tron and Ready Player One have been imagining computer-generated environments with the same significance as the real world for a long time. Metaverse appears to be designed primarily as a means of communication and interaction among users. After all, a virtual “reality” that doesn’t allow people to participate in any way isn’t much of a “reality.”
